Home of the week
Chelsea and I had a wonderful birthday celebration at the David Gray concert in Grand Prairie and Belmont Hotel, which I’ll write more about later, but the big news is that the home bug has bitten again.
During our fantastic experience at the Belmont Hotel, we discovered that part of the development will include townhomes and garden homes with great views of downtown Dallas. After a little digging once we got home, we found a Dallas Morning News article that explained who was behind all the revitalization of this part of Fort Worth Avenue.
Turns out that an Oak Cliff native named Monte Anderson is using his real estate company to turn South Dallas around, one small development at a time.
So Chelsea and I looked at the floor plans of these townhomes, found one that we really love (shown above), and we’re going to talk with the company on Monday about it.
We’ve been through this whole “we’ve found our house!” drill (several times) before, but each time I think we get a little bit closer to finding the right thing. If this ends up being the place for us, the opportunity for our first home to be a small part of transforming a neighborhood would be icing on the cake.
