King James himself

The CASE conference in Oklahoma City has been a good opportunity to learn some new things and catch up with old friends. But the highlight of the day at the conference has to be the fact that I came within a good fifteen feet of King James himself — LeBron James, one of the greatest NBA players of our day. He was in town to play the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, and he happened to be staying at our conference hotel.

If you watch this video closely, you’ll see a blurry gentleman with a white sweatshirt wearing a black backpack walk out the hotel and onto a bus.

That was LeBron. No wonder he’s so good! He moves fast. So fast, in fact, that he completely ignored a group of little kids who waited anxiously outside the hotel for a good hour and a half, hoping to get his autograph. I guess he didn’t let the fact that he snubbed an innocent group of kids affect his game at all, because he went on to sink a jumper with half a second left to beat the Hornets.
