Here’s to Deedee
We’re selling Deedee today.
It’s a little silly to get attached to your cars, but you do. I still miss Oscar the Honda Element to this day. (I miss him more whenever we’re moving or carrying anything big.) Chel has had some memorable cars, too, like Libby the Pontiac convertible who turned her own windshield wipers on whenever she felt like it.
Your cars become a member of the family. They’re right there with you on road trips and big occasions. They go to work with you every day — especially when you’re like Chel and your car is your office. They take you to the grocery store and out to dinner. They can be a pain sometimes when that unexpected maintenance comes up, but if you take good care of them, they’ll take good care of you.
So here’s to Deedee — the first car Chelsea bought all on her own. The car Chelsea searched all over the metroplex for because Deedee was the perfect combination of red exterior, black convertible roof, and tan leather seats. The car that whisked us away from our wedding and helped us celebrate our first anniversary. The car that was always able to help a friend in need.
We’re gonna miss her.
