The dog who hates bones

Folks, meet Addy, a dog who doesn’t like bones.

We ran out of her preferred Iams dog food the other day, so I ran to Walgreens and picked up a bag of Pedigree dry food. It looked a lot like Iams, plus it added the special feature of flavored bones! Yum!

The first few days, Addy ate it up, and since Pedigree is a bit cheaper than Iams, I decided to make the switch. The next time we went grocery shopping, I got a big 30-pound bag.

Lately, though, we’ve noticed that Addy isn’t so much a fan of the bone-shaped pieces. In fact, she picks them out and lays them to the side:

Now, I don’t plan to personally taste the difference between the bones and the rest of the food, but it isn’t to Addy’s liking.

Luckily, Sinatra the Siamese kitten comes along and does the dirty work of finishing off Addy’s unwanted morsels.
