Only in Texas

We spent the day at Chelsea’s friend Jeremy’s lake house on Cedar Creek Lake. To get to the lake, you have to pass through Tool, Texas. The other town on the lake is Gun Barrel City. That got me wondering about strange names for towns. Through the magic of the Internet, I quickly discovered that only in Texas will you find towns like Cut and Shoot, Notrees, Old Glory, Study Butte, and Chocolate Bayou.

On a related note: After seeing Cars yesterday, Chel and I decided that one of these summers, we’re going to figure out a way to travel the entire length of Route 66.
