The waiting game

I learned an important lesson about waiting today: it stinks.

We’re waiting on Chelsea’s car to be delivered and it’s driving me crazy. I know that in the grand scheme of things this little car is not a big deal, and it will get here when it gets here. So I can wait.

More importantly, today I was confronted with the fact that I’ve kept people waiting too long in trying to hire a new staff member at work. One person I was hoping to hire has taken a job elsewhere. You can’t blame him — the guy couldn’t wait forever.

I can’t keep people waiting anymore. Because waiting stinks.
